Vegetarian Shopping List

Vegetarian Shopping List Detail
Vegetarian Shopping List Buy vegetables. Look for things that are seasonal they will taste best or things that are exotic hey will be intersting to cook with. Use them to make soups, salads, stir fry, steamed vegetables, fried vegetables.
Buy fruits. Eat them raw, stew them, bake pies, make crumbles, use them to top meusli.
Buy rices, grains and beans. Use them as foundations for your vegetables, add them to soups, bake them into casseroles.
Buy ingredients, not processed foods, and you will be sure of avoiding meat, fish, poultry and or eggs and dairy. From raw ingredients you can make anything yourself.
If you want a great vegetarian cookbook for reference, I can recommend Mark Bittman's How to Cook Everything Vegetarian. I don't  refer to cookbooks very often, but I keep picking Bittman up and finding new ideas and techniques. He sticks to basics, explains ingredients well, and offers myriad varations on a theme.
